1. Your Consultation
We can see you in clinic face to face or virtually online. Our expert clinicians will conduct a thorough assessment of your symptoms and medical history. This may involve asking questions about the frequency and severity of the leakage, any triggers or patterns, and the impact it has on your daily life. A physical exam may also be performed to evaluate the pelvic floor muscles, as well as assess for any signs of prolapse, or other abnormalities.
2. Your Treatment
If our Emsella chair is in your treatment plan, you’ll simply sit on it fully clothed, while electromagnetic pulses stimulate contractions in the pelvic floor muscles. If you’re having Afrodite treatment, an inserted vaginal probe will painlessly emit radiofrequency energy to heat and tighten the tissues of the vaginal wall.
3. Your Aftercare
We advise that you avoid any strenuous activities or exercises that put stress on the pelvic area for at least 24 hours post-treatment. This will allow the muscles and tissues in the treated area to recover and heal effectively. Full relevant aftercare guidelines will be provided by the doctor post treatment.

FAQs

Why do I leak urine?

Urinary incontinence, or the involuntary leakage of urine, can be a distressing condition that affects individuals of all ages. Weakened pelvic floor muscles can occur due to pregnancy, childbirth, or aging. These muscles play a crucial role in controlling bladder function, and when they are weak, urine leakage can occur. Other causes may include urinary tract infections, nerve damage, hormonal imbalances, or certain medications. Our clinician will investigate the underlying cause and develop an appropriate treatment plan, with a view to restoring the control you have over your bladder.

How do your treatments work?

Our Emsella chair uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles, which are responsible for controlling bladder function. Our Afrodite probe is inserted into the vagina, where is generates targeted radiofrequency energy, tightening the vulva. Both devices are designed to repair weakened muscles and restore your pelvic health.

How effective are your treatments?

Our Emsella chair and Afrodite probe are both highly recommended by urologist and gynecologists for treating bladder leakage. This innovative technology offers a safe and effective alternative to traditional methods of bladder leakage treatment, such as medication or surgery. They provide faster results and relief than opting to renew the pelvic floor via physiotherapy. We tailor each treatment plan specifically for each individual.
